Cutting Glass

Has anybody tried cutting 1/4" glass. I watched a couple videos on youtube and it looked pretty easy and the handheld tool is cheap. I bought a used sump but I need to trim down the baffle height a couple inches.

Haven't done it since I worked in a body shop in the 70s (yes, I am that old. I know I don't look it but....) If I remember right, good hard pressure but only make one pass with the cutter. If you try to make a second pass you will score it in two locations and it will break. Hope that helps.

I just bought a glass cutter at HD for $7. It says its good for cutting up to 1/4". I'll let you know how it goes.

If you are going to have scrap, try cutting a corner on a piece that will end up as scrap. That way you don't ruin the whole piece.
