Getting a little bit of a cyanobacteria problem; is Chemiclean a good product for treatment? Any other best practices recommended? Planning also on upgrading pump in near future to provide better flow.

Welcome to ARC :)

IMO a "chemical fix" should be a last resort. Tell us more about your system:

Size of system and how long it has been up and running.

What type of lighting, age of lamps (if applicable) and how long you run the lights.

What inhabitants do you have?

How much do you feed them, and how often?

What kind of filtration/skimming do you have?

How much water do you change, and how often?

What are your parameters? Include temperature, specific gravity, pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, alkalinity, phosphate.

Based on that information we can probably help you figure out the cause. Once that is addressed, and the existing cyano exported, that can help stop it coming back.

If all that has been done and the problem persists, then I'd recommend a different product - Ultralife Red Slime Remover. It's every bit as effective as Chemiclean but less volatile.

However, if the underlying cause(s) aren't addressed, the stuff will just keep coming back.

The old saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, really applies here.
