dead or alive?

I'm not an SPS guy (yet) and need someone to tell me if this blue tip staghorn is dead or alive. The tips still glow blue under 15K MH but I don't see any polps extending. The body is brownish.

Looks alive to me. As that coral been in your tank for a while?

The new growth on SPS will appear initially white. I've never seen the tips of white that big, but I'm not totally familiar with all the possible types.

Here's another dead or alive question: What's up with this mushroom? It's completely white. Other 'shrooms are doing well.
