Under settings/preferences:

"When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/subscription.php">subscribed threads</a>, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread."

Do not subscribe
No email notification <------- I've selected this one.
Instant email notification
Daily email notification
Weekly email notification

=================================================

I've selected *No email notification*, yet I receive an email every time someone replies to a thread in which I've posted. My email box is flooded and it's a chore to keep deleting these notifications. What setting do I need to stop this from happening?

You need to go into your control pannel and remove the subscription to each thread you don't want notification from.

When you get to the control panel click on "View all Subcribed Thread" then you should be able to select the threads you want to remove or change the subcription to.

Just stop posting in threads and they will stop subscribing you ;)
Just kidding...mine does the same thing...even though I have no email marked also...

Well, I think I figured it out. Initially I DID have *send instant email notification* checked, so I checked *no email notification* ... what it did was to stop email notifications on any new threads from that point on, but if a post was made in an earlier thread, I still got the email.

I went into my subscription list and changed all the subscriptions to *no notification* and now it's stopped...

NOW... if I can just get the time figured out... I'm posting this at 9:12 p.m. ... let's see what the timestamp is once I post...

No the time is going to be messed up... Chris (Mojo) did not plan for daylight savings and screwed up the site.. SO go commit a crime and use the ARC forums as your "No your honor, I was posting on the ARC when the bank got robbed!!!"

Actually.... it wasn't mojo that screwed up the time... the server that the website is being hosted on never got the DST patch earlier in the year. We don't have access to the server itself (only vBulletin) so there was nothing that we could do about it. :tongue:
