I have a piece of cyphastrea , it's looked the same since the day I got it . No bigger ,no smaller,no growth , no nothing. Is it broken ? On strike ? Just doomed ? Everyone talks about how fast it grows and I'm just kinda like ...hmmmm

I had the same problem with a small frag, then started to dose amino acids and boom, triple in size in a month

It’s probably fine. Without any specific info, it is hard to tell. Smaller frags will grow slower (almost obviously). Also, with Cyphastrea, they tend to prefer lower light. I’ll find if the light is high, they will slow their growth noticeably.

I would agree with the Amino dosing. I have a lepto that showed no growth and was dosing aminos whenever I felt like it (once every other week). I then started to dose 2x a week and it is showing good growth results now.

I have a frag of bizarro cyphastrea over a year old that never grew or shrank at all. To this day I still don't know why it's the only calcium consuming coral in my tank that won't grow lol
