Definitions

I everyone! I have my 1st saltwater tank up and running for about a year now and I am just starting to use the message boards. I was wondering if anyone could give me a quick break down of what all of the abbreviations mean.

I see SPS all over the place and i have seen a couple more that pop up pretty frequently. Just want to make sure I know what they mean.

SPS - Small Polyped Stoney
LPS - Large Polyped Stoney
fuge- Refugium
Pods - Copepods, rotifers and such
Thats just a few

Here's a link that can help. It does have SPS but it does have it's meaning which is Small Polyped Stoney (coral).

RO / DI - Reverse Osmosis Deionized water (pure filtered water)
SPS - small polyp stoney corals
LPS - large polyp stoney corals

Lighting
MH - Metal Halide lighting
PC - Power Compact lighting
VHO - Very High Output lighting
HO - High Output lighting
NO - Normal Output Lighting

Brands
AGA - All Glass Aquarium brand of aquariums
MRC - My Reef Creations local maker of skimmers / reactors

Chemistry
NO3 Nitrates
NO2 Nitrites
Mg Magnesium
Ca Calcium
Alk Alkalinity
Cu Copper (very bad for reef tank)
