diatom filter

Hi all,

Anybody use a diatom filter on their SW tanks. I had one years ago for FW and it was fantastic. But it said for FW and SW.

The only down side that I could see is that it filters so well that it might filter out all the pods and such (i.e. the good stuff).

I usually figure if no one is doing it, there must be a reason!

Anyway, just curious.

This is (unfortunately) EXACTLY what I was looking for. I was worried that filtering down to the micron level would do as much, or more damage, than good. I guess it is a two bladed sword, sort of like UV filtering...

There is a time and place... perhaps. But it "ain't" here or now :unsure:
