Since my 125 has been set up in April I have had Diatoms twice and now I see that they are back again. I know that there isn't anything I can do but is this normal. I do a 25% w/c weekly. Bubba
Have you disturbed anything in the tank? Moving a lot of sand around can cause a bloom. Basically, if you release silicates the diatoms will flurish until they consume the silicate.
