Did my LFSs lie to me

2 LFS's in my area both said that Chromis were a great beginner fish. I asked them about Uronema and they said they had never heard nor seen.
Got some Chromis and guess what.... Uro. Was I lied to?

How common is uronema and would it make sense for 2 fairly big lfss not to know about it?

IF any fish... Chromis are known to be most affected by urenoma, like tangs being ich magnets. Not sure how any LFS with any knowledge in marine fish not know this.

I really hope you have those Chromis in QT, because there isn't no getting that out of your display without a complete restart.

ahhh the plight of the beginner. had them in DT. well never getting chromis, butterflyfish, or anthias so might get away from that. used to the freshwater days when you never needed to quarantine and any fish disease could be cured in a week with a 7 buck bottle. I don't think anyone qts till they learn they need to. might not have been uro but aggression but it did have a dark spot on the tail. so don't know. that very day I set up qt.
