Ok, here is tbhe deal...

The tank, rock, sand, and salt will all arrive on Friday.

My RO/DI filter is very old, probably needs new membranes, and has some broken couplings that needs to be fixed.

Would I be ok filling my tank (30g, more like 20-25 w live rock) with distilled water for the first go round.

I have prime to take out any chlorinates or anything else that may be present in the water.

I have just been out of the game for so long that I have lost knowledge on what is acceptable and what is not.

If I am totally wrong, please let me know. I will not be offended in the least.

Distilled water should be pure h2O with zero TDS. You're fine.

Awesome MVM, that is what I thought but I wanted to reassure myself. I have a lot of memories of the hobby and wanted to make sure I use the ones that are correct.

Makes me feel even more at ease coming from a member like MVM, I remember you from the days I was around.
