Dividing a 29g into 2 compartments

I picked up a 29g at Petco, and I'm thinking about using it as a combo mixing station and ATO reservoir underneath my frag tank. I'd like to install 1/4" glass to divide it into 2 compartments, probably 10g for ATO and the remainder for SW mixing. I'm concerned about the times when one side or the other is empty, and I'd have about 18in deep water pressing against the internal wall. Would silicone be good enough for installing this sheet? Or should it be reinforced somehow?

silicone is all that holds the tank togethet..

True. I saw the discussion in the thread about the Momentive RTV 108. If I can get that, I'd feel better, but I know better than to use the GE Silicone II now.
