So I decided to attempt the pvc overflow system but i tweaked it a little i have a 55 gall and a 20 gallon frag tank that needed to be able to drop water to my sump so that i could filter it and send it back to the tanks so i came up with this design which looks like a headache but works well. The piping is a mixture of 1" piping and 3/4 piping hopefully i can do a walk through on it later but i just pulled it out to finish gluing pipes but it was running leak free for 2 months hope you enjoy.
