Just stumbled onto a box if BRS powders and pre made pump gallons and 64 oz if kent iodine could all be 2+ old. Any thoughts?

**** that's crappy wont risk anything to save some $, but would've been nice not to buy for a year if I could have used this stuff.

If there's a lot number on the product, call the manufacturer and ask if that lot is still good.

If it's open, as long as it hasn't been contaminated, and the lot hasn't expired, it should be fine.

It really depends on the 'chemical'.

Some absorb water (also called being hygroscopic), some CO2 (DI resin being one). Absorbed water may or may not cause a problem, depending on the chemical involved.

Some products are mixtures, that may gradually react and/or degrade (test kits).

If you can provide a list, that might help.
