I just got done doing a 25g water change and i noticed that my green and red favia looks like it is shedding in a couple spots.

i cant seem to get a good picture of it right now

when i first got my open brain it looked like it was shedding and i have seen some at lfs giving off that white substance thing.

also ron did the gsp open up.

does it look like a slimey shed or is the color fading where its shedding? if its turning white where it sheds its rtn,if its slimey leave it be

Most corals shed a mucus of some nature.....to rid its of debris etc, But I am not a coral whisperer....But I would say YES and if it looks fine now..you know the answer.

But my favia never has

What does it look like? Is it material coming our of the oral cavity? Or Tissue sloughing of of the body? Can you see skeleton underneath?
