We've got a Fighting Conch that has been doing what a conch should.
Moving about in the sand bed, disappearing for days only to pop up again and continue doing whatever he has on his schedule.

About two weeks ago, I found him laying on his side.
He's in there. Alive and well. I set him right side down and he's off and running again.
Ever since then, it seems like every other day, he's playing dead and laying on his side again.

Every time, I right him and he's back to doing what he does.

The sand bed is about 3 inches deep. Plenty deep enough for him to bury himself and root around.
This sand bed has been in place for over a year. There's plenty for him to eat. Every now and then we'll strap a piece of nori to a rock and he and the turbo make a bee line over and have a little fresh cut salad for dinner.

I'm just not sure about the conch.
The water parameters are as perfect as can be. Nothing in the tank is picking on him. He just seems to flop over and will stay there until someone puts him back in place.

I think he's just an idiot and enjoys being handled. ;)

It wouldn't be the first time that I've been played by one of the creatures in the tank.

When he's not "begging", he's scooting about. Keeping things clean as he moves.
