OK guys I've been cycling for about 2 weeks now, and I think everythings going good. After my tank has sat all night with the lights off the temp is right around 79 but at night before they go off the temp is around 85. I thought it might be because of the MJ1200, but then realized that can't be it because I never turn the pump off, so it has to be from the PC's. I am currently not running a heater due to the fact that the tank hasn't dropped below 79. Any ideas or should I just get a chiller?

85 is no good. Get a very accurate heater and put it at 80, and get a fan to cool things down so it stay at 80-83.5. If your temp don't go above 88 fans will work for you.

Dawgdude- Fans are working Fine, as far as I know. Yes I did replace the pump with a 1200, and I know they have heat issues, but when the lights are off, the temp goes down to about 79. I have tried leaving the feeding door open for a day and that seemed to work great, but I would rather not have to do this. I don't know what you mean by a glass top, so I'm gonna say no to that question.

Ouling- I have a stealth heater, I only removed it because I thought maybe it had gone bad and that was causing the Heat issues, but it's been out for a week and it's still doing the same thing.

Other than running a Fan over the Top, is there anything else I could do i.e. maybe upgrade the fans??

FIRST THING <span style="color: deepskyblue;">chill out</span>

<span style="color: #0000ff;"></span>

<span style="color: #0000ff;"></span>

and just replace the old fans with any of these and you should be fine or if you want to be sure get the bigger fans

Nano_Reefer92- Thanks for the Links, I don't quite understand what this does for my fans, does it just speed them up or what? I'm thinking I should just go for the Bigger fans, Bigger is always better in this Hobby right?

for my nano , i put it on a stand in front of the a/c vent and at night it gets down to about 75 and in the day it stays around 78 or 79. Your cube should not be that hot. Something is not right?? No you should not need a chiller. I used to have it not in front of an ac vent and it never got over 82.

Chrisjet- I was waiting on you to chime in on this. I didn't think this was normal. The tank does sit close to a window of my house but it gets no direct sunlight and the tmep in my house stays around 74-75.

Hey guys I know evryone says the fans should be pulling the heat out, but what if I flipped the fans over and the blew air into the water could that help cool it down?

Oh yeah, I'll have some pics up for you guys tommorrow, Cause alot has changed in my little 12G. I'm worried about some of it..

you should always have a in and out so that the cool air blows in hot gets blown out for the fans and i am eager to see your tank!

Nano_Reefer92- I guess I never thought of that but it makes perfect since! I'll check them tonight just to make sure they are working properly.
