I found it in my hammer thats been loosing heads for no reason,i was seeing like brown poop i thought they where vermetid but they wasn’t and i pull it out today and i found this

Looks like asterina? I have caught the ones with brownish red spots eating zoas, as well as flesh on the edges of a splitting hammer and fresh frag of an acan.

A FANTASTIC excuse to get harlequin shrimp, that is.

Then the problem is you have to maintain an asterina or other starfish population to keep said harlequins alive.
