Does anyone own (or has ever owned) a dragon wrasse?

I saw one of http://liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=314&N=0">these</a> at Petland Town Center yesterday and it was way cool. Research says a 70 gallon tank, so I can't have one right now, but maybe someday. Notes: deep sandbed, tight-fitting lid, reefsafe for corals, but not safe with shrimp, snails or small fish.

They're [IMG]http://www.saltwaterfish.com/site_11_03/product_info.php?products_id=1392&parent_category=4&category_search=61&root_parent_id=4">on sale</a> right now at salwaterfish.com.

Fascinating fish to watch.

I wouldn't recommend that unless its going into a fowlr. They grow up to a foot long, and need a lot of space. Also any fish that is prettier as a juvenile than an adult doesn't suit my taste :).

Was thinking of the 125 gal FOWLR that we have, but Loren is not keen on it. Scratch this'n from the list.

:(

They will turn over/flip over/rearrange/re-aquascape your tank constantly.

I think they are also referred to as the "rock-mover". I wanted a dragon wrasse for my reef and spoke to several different people at 3 different LFS and all highly discouraged the idea. They all said that this fish will reck havoc in a tank, knocking over rock and corals. It sure is a cool looking fish though. If you want some more opinions, Marine Fish has them in stock all the time.

Well, he's nixed.

Everyone can say what they will, but I still like him. But hey, I'm easily impressed and I love watching fish that DO things (other than just swim around looking purty).

Just glad I'm finally managing to curb my *impulse buy* problem....

(Wonder what he'd do if put in a tank with just Legos or Chinese Checkers? Or a salt-water friendly chess set? hmmmm... could be fun)
