I have 3 running on my 300g and they have to be pried off.

Completely remove the pin spacer and they work flawlessly.

Isn't that noisy as hell?
I can only imagine the humming transferring to the glass without the rubber cushion...

Rob, the thin rubber piece is still there it's just the pin spacer that is totally removed. Mine barely hum.

Thanh I still use the flat rubber disk between the glass and the dry side

The ones you saw today the glass and then the pvc layer must be that I just run them with the rubber mat alone. They hold great.

Removing the pin spacer is exactly what the manual says to do for 3/4" glass.
