Does selcon have a shelf life?

I inherited a bottle of selcon from my grandfather when I had to go break a few tanks down from his house(Alzheimer's).

There is no telling how old this bottle is. Should it still be safe to use?

Supposely 12 monthes. But I wouldn't use it after 6. It's 4 bucks, I wouldn't risk a tank for 400.
