hey guys. so i have 2 dorso overflows on my 120g. the plumbing picture of how i designed my sump is below. when i first set up the tank, i dont think the foor was 100% level, as it looks like 80% of the water goes over the right overflow.
so the tank has been running for 3 months and its been super quiet. tonight, all the sudden the right overflow started burping. i think it might be because air is going into the fuge area with the spraybar, and somehow it just started causing the burping.
i used flex pvc, but i attached the right return down by using zipties so it forced the pvc to be flat with the top of the sump -- it wasn't flexible. it still is flat with the sump / hasn't moved.
so tonight, the return pipe hasn't moved at all, but it just started burping for some reason. i have ball valves on the right over that i could close, or close partially and have water primarily flow down the left to stop the burping for now -- but any idea what could cause a dorso overflow to just start burping like that? <belch>
