Dosed calcium only

Yesterday, I tested my water parameters. Everything was okay, but needed some adjustments. Parameter are as follows:

Salinity 1.025
Alkalinity 10.5
Calcium 400
Magnesium 1360

So, I dosed 20 grams of calcium. Today my water parameters are:

Salinity 1.025
Alkalinity 12.5
Calcium 440
Magnesium 1400

I know I hear people say that you should always dose equal parts of Calcium and Alkalinity. I thought that if I only dosed Calcium then my Alkalinity would come down. I’m also using Red Sea Foundation. Any suggestions please.

I dose 2 part with a dosing pump and it has never been equal. I have to dose more for alk than calcium. I still have not needed to dose any mag

it doesn't make sense that your alk jumped too. What did you dose to raise your calcium?

Might be a good time for a small water change to reset the numbers. It'll most likely work itself out though if no action is taken.
