Anyone dosing vodka in your tanks?

Considering starting vinegar dosing my pastor's tank. He's dosing aquaforest so trying to get away from so many water changes. From what I've read, vodka generally comes with my cyano than vinegar.

Well I sent both tanks into a algae bloom. So maybe I will try something different.

I dosed vodka for probably 6-8 months before breaking down the tank.  You have to be very careful and get the dosed amount just right.  I was dosing 2 ml /day into a 180g tank.  It certainly helped brighten up my corals and made them grow like crazy.

I was reading 0.2 ml per gallon per day for 4 days. Then up it to 0.3 for days 5-8.

This article seems like a safe way to begin the dosing. I will let my tank recover for a few days before i start again.

The bad thing about dosing vodka is if you ever miss a dose, you have to start all over.

I really hopes this helps.  Ive heard its best to start low and gradually increase so you wont shock your system.  It might even be worth picking up a Jaebo two head doser for cheap from @cnbridge to keep the dosing consistent.
