Drilling aqueous 29g tanks for QT

I saw that the petco $1 sale is on, has anyone has good experience drilling these? I have drilled tanks before but not these

To answer my own question, I got a few 20g high tanks. Working on the first hole, and everything seemed great, but as soon as the bit cut through, the whole pane of glass cracked. Didn’t shatter, so maybe not tempered, but also maybe too thin of glass to drill?

Side note: free cracked 20g tank

Also would be interested in some sort of QT setup now

I understand the thinner glass is harder to drill. I haven't drilled one that thin. But I know that it can be done, and practice helps, so at least you have four more sides to practice on.

I doubt that I’m going to try to drill my other two tanks. I felt pretty confident after having drilled other tanks before. I’m sure it can be done but I’d rather not break 3 tanks trying lol
