Anyone on the southside of atlanta, down in the newnan area, proficient in drilling glass? I have a 27 cube I want to drill.

I drilled for the first ever last week (3 successful bulkheads). It wasn’t bad at all. Made sure i had my bulkhead first and then measured it with a caliper so I knew for sure what size hole I needed to drill. I ordered a diamond hole saw off amazon that was the correct size.

I googled how to drill glass and a dozen different forums popped up with great info and techniques. The main things included not to drill to close to the edges of the tank or any other hole. DO NOT PRESS HARD; let the weight of the drill do the work. Keep the drill bit from getting hot by running water over it. I cut a wood template to help guide me

^Great advice. The biggest thing that helped me when I drilled glass was realizing it isn't a quick process. I don't remember exactly, but each hole will take a few minutes at a minimum.

yea it actually took a lot less time than what i thought. I found that if i taped the back of the glass and clamped thinner piece of wood it kept the glass from chipping just as you cut through.

Oh and dont forget to sand the edges of any cut glass.
