drilling rock

anyone have any tried and true methods for drilling holes in rock?

i have a neat idea for my tank, but involves holes in rock..

I used a concrete bit to drill my rock to attach them to one another with 1/2" PVC. If the rock is porous, it's very easy. If it's dense, it takes a little longer. Just go slow, so that you don't crack the rock.

I use a 10" hammer drill bit (5/16).
The extra length comes in handy.

Keep it rinsed!!!

IF i told ya..... i'd have to kill ya! J/K.. i want to keep my idea close to my chest until it comes to fruition.... then i want to be on tour of tanks to see how many minds i can blow away with it :-D
