I need some advice on how to best set up a drip acclimation from my tank to a container that will be on the floor. I'll be using airline tubing, but I'm not sure what the best way to secure the tubing in place is.

Are there clips or something else that you guys use that will hold the tube? Be specific, as I'm kind of a dunce where these things are concerned. Thanks!

I use these, I believe Creation Reef stocks them

In a pinch, I've used metal spring binder clips. I'll clip it on the edge of my tank and leave enough room that I can run the tubing through it without pinching it. More as a guide...

And if you don't have the needle valves, just tie some knots in the tubing and it will slow the drip down.

Yes, if you leave the clips on the tank they will rust after a few weeks, but hours here & there are not a big deal.

Won't that rust the spring after it stays there for a while???? Kidding!!

Gary, will that work with euro-bracing? I think the bracing around the top of the tank is about 3".

Euro braced you could use a pice of tape to hold the drip line in the tank .

Use the metal spring binder clip to hold the tube to the bucket brian and i just set my airline tube between the teeth in the baffle in the tank. Should work as im assuming yours is the same as mine...

probably not as the "U" isnt flexible but you could always tape it in place. its about a good 1" though. Because I have a canopy and dont want to leave it open while acclimating I have been using it from my sump and works flawlessly

+1

Unless you are looking for something permanent just take blue painters tape and secure it to the top edge of the tank. The tubing with water in it is not heavy so it will hold fine. I usually tie 3 separate knots in my line so I can fine tune the drip.

Thanks for the input guys! I was afraid it would come down to tape or metal paper binders. Shouldn't complain, though, that's the cheap option! I'll stick to tape then (pun intended).
