Currently running 2 tanks - a 60 Gallon Cube plus a 20 Long. Both are plumbed into a common 40b sump with Bean Animal coast to coast DIY overflow.

Just got the 20 long and current sump plumbed up last weekend.

Waiting for 50 lbs of live rock to come from Tampa Bay Saltwater - will stage it in the 20 long / sump until I can be sure I have found all the unfriendly hitchhikers that may tag along for the ride from the Gulf.

Lighting over the 60 is a gen 3 XR15 pro, lighting over the 20 will be a DIY LED using a Lumia 5.2 puck and Storm X controller.

Pumps - DCS-7000 for the common return (probably need to go bigger here), 2 RW4 controlled via the Apex in the 60 gallon.

Skimmer is an eshops PSK-75 - Need something bigger & better here - total water volume right now is approaching 90 gallons. Thinking about a LifeReef or MTC using my current return pump once I upgrade it. Just have to convince myself it's OK to part with $500+ for another pump plus skimmer :mad2: Want to make sure whatever I use is bubble free on the outlet side.

Pics below (easier to attach them so they show up using Tapatalk)

50lbs of rock arrived today. I know many people are in the only super clean, critter free dry rock club - personally I get a kick out of not knowing what is in the tank.

So far I know we have at least 2 decorator crabs, at least 1 green porcelain crab (and I think another red one but not positive on it's ID yet). I have noticed several what I think are Whelk snails - so those have me a little worried but once I confirm for sure they may just end up as a snack for the 4" toadfish that startled me when I was grabbing rocks out of the bags they were shipped in.

All the new rock is in the 20 gallon - except the piece the toadfish was calling home - that piece and the toadfish are in the larger section of the sump.

The rock has a ton of filter feeding "stuff". Many barnacles, Christmas tree worms, other feather type worms etc.

Basic pictures today - as I get a chance I'll try to get better photos.

Some sort of Anenome

Decorator crab - and out of focus but to the right of him, angled downwards is a rust colored blur - that appears to be one of the porcelain crabs.

FTS - rock pretty much just thrown in there - it's gonna stay like this for the most part until I get a good handle on as much of the life as possible. All crabs and other potential predators will stay in this tank - rock will be staged in the sump piece by piece to be moved into the 60 gallon cube.

Looking at those critter's.... I'm guessing that it originated in Florida, maybe Tampa Bay? Good looking rock!

I may have to try TBS sometime. Their rock always looks amazing!!

I got 75 pounds of TBS rock to reboot my 125 gallon. Total cost was around $500 shipped to the airport, so pretty competitive with buying rock at your LFS. The rock was great out of the box, and even with the die off of most of the sponges and barnacles it still is much more interesting than starting with dead rock. I didn't get any bad hitchhikers that I know of. I got a couple decorator crabs, but I think my puffer may have enjoyed them, and there's still a snapping shrimp I can hear but haven't seen. It will be interesting to see what survives long term.

Few pics of the main tank today.

Most of the TBS rock is in the fuge and sump and life seems to be doing fine.
