Dwarf Certh's

I called myself restocking my CUC by purchasing some various items but one of which was some
dwarf certh's. I got about 100 of them I don't know what I was thinking when I bought them but they are all over everything like roaches. I thought they would live in the sand and on the rocks not the glass. They are so small and it's so many of them :doh:. This is really messing up my view of the tank. If I was able to do it again with another animal, would I......Probably not:shout:

I noticed mine start to cover the glass at night and they do a great cleaning job. I think they are great.

I just can't keep them alive. They all die within a month or so. All other snails do fine for me. I just avoid them now as I don't relish being a mass murderer. Even of snails lol!

Throw in a melanarus wrasse, it'll take care of those snails lol

I'd maybe look to find some a home.
I keep about .5 per gallon so they don't starve and they breed in my system some .
If there isn't enough food they starve and die making your water foul , 1 snail dies it doesn't effect much , but several could be problematic .

I assure you there is enough hair algae for all and some guests too. lol

Mess up your view, they will. But you'll be hard pressed to find a snail that can into nooks and crannies as well as the dwarf can.
