I know easiest may not be the correct term to use, but what would be the easiest SPS to keep?

I would say a birdsnest but they can be just as picky as any other coral out there.

Going to try out SPS for the first time once I get my LED's. Thank you for your input, will have to check out the birdsnest. What about montipora?

hey john if you want to ride down to Peachtree city I'll give you some monti to try. just let me know

Monti Caps... I've kept them under T5s and Koralia 2 powerheads in a 30 gallon tank...

Pocillipora is pretty easy to keep as well. I would say Monti cap though, it can be kept under PC lighting although it's color might change some.

Thank you very much for the offer, I may have to take you up on that one of these days. Thank you.

Edit: Thank you all for your input, looks like I will be giving the the monti cap a try out. Is that the same as encrusting monti?

Montipora....

Up until a year and a half ago, I too couldn't keep a BN to save my life.

I'll bust out the chain saw and give you a piece of this if you would like!

The picture is quite deceptive.

+1 on the Bird's nest, however, you will increase your chances if you go with the thick branch type of BN.
I have a few BN frags (pink as well as fluorescent green with dark polyps) you are welcome to try one out. They are small frags, so they would be a good gauge to see if your parameters are consistent enough to keep SPS.
What are your parameters for PO4?, NO3?, Ca, Ak, Mg, SG. These are important to maintain at the proper levels to be able to keep SPS successfully.
Just my 2 cents worth.:)

Jaycen, I may have to come visit you to check that monster out and get a small colony, errrrr.... I mean frag! It's been a while since I saw the tank anyway!
