I was looking at buying a ro di unit off of ebay have any one bought one from them..the unit is $68 100 gpd are they any good or should one buy a more expensive unit..

I would stick with a known brand so it doesn't crap out on you two weeks down the road and everyone knows how much of a PITA it is to try and return anything on eBay. BRS has a lot of good choices you can go with for a good price. To be honest, if you have the extra cash, I wouldn't get anything else then 150gpd or else you'll be waiting forever for your water and you'll be wasting a butt load of water.

Spend a little more and get quality. Check out our sponsors. You'd be surprised at how competitive they can be with RODI units. AND you get the benefit of personal service. Good luck getting that from an ebay seller.

Got a 75 GPD from BRS and it makes 5 gal in a little over and hour. In the future I will probably upgrade it to 150 GPD. But for now with my BC29 it works fine.

the people that i am buying the ro di unit from wouldnt be back for a month...is it possible to use publix water to start the cycle process then start using ro later..its gonna take a month to cycle any way right..

Yup. Publix water will work just fine. Heck if you don't mind the drive, you can bring a few buckets to my house and I can filter a 5gallon jug faster then you can smoke a cig.

I use public RO water for 7 months, go for it...
