Eels and BB Tank

Im an idiot and I might set up a FOWLR but want to try BB. My gf wants puffers and eels. Will the eels be ok without sand?

Unless they're a variety that requires sand(Garden Eel) then they should be fine. I wouldn't bother with BB on a fish only tank since their requirements aren't as stringent.

I was thinking of something like a snowflake eel. She wont know any better!

to be honest with you i got a snowflake eel just playing aroudn with the eel idea and i love it, the most active thing ever, i even added a barred moray eel and they get along great with my yellow tang.

snowflakes are typical but they can be pretty fun and entertaining
