Eheim Compacton 1000 vs MJ 1200 by cobalt

My MJ1200 is acting up and I’m considering replacing it. The reviews I’ve seen lead me to believe the quality may have declined in recent years. Has anyone used the Eheim compacton pumps? Thoughts? I realize the head height and gph is slightly less than cobalt... but, my experience questions their specs due to issues with the design. This is for a dual gfo/carbon reactor. Thanks for your thoughts!

I've used Eheim pumps for 30+ years and will swear by them.
Although I don't have experience with the Compacton models, it's what I've chosen for my new build.
So' I'm going with the bigger brother to the one in your link. The reviews are very good too.
FWIW- German engineering, built with ceramic shafts & bushings for low friction & wear.

I have that ehiem pump in one of my newer tanks. So far so good. Its quiet too
