Finally Happening - 180 Upgrade / Build
________________________________________
Yes... it is finally happening. My 90 gallon tank has been up for four years so now it's time to upgrade. The last three years was spent collecting equipment, managing almost a year of unemployment, and surviving a heart attack resulting in a quadruple bypass.

The actual build started the first of July and I plan to get water in the first week of September. I've only had partial weekend days to work on it, but it's coming along! Pictures say 1,000 words, so I'll let them do the speaking.

But first here is the mandatory equipment list:
• Stand Custom built by RedEdge2k1
• Standard Marineland 180 RR (72x24x24)
• 3 - RapidLED Onyx LEDs
• 1 - Maxspect 160w G2 (Sump/refrigium/Mini frag tank)
• MRC2-R Skimmer
• MRC Sump (18x18x36)
• Progressive Automations Linear Actuator (he he he!)
• 2 - WP-40 Powerheads
• Reeflow Dart return pump
• Neptune Apex Controller
• BRS Dual Media Reactor (Future Upgrade)
• Knop-c Calcium Reactor (Future Upgrade)
• Blowhole 1100 Recirculation pump
• 2 - 500w Finnex Titanium Heaters (without controllers)
• ATO (Forget the name - in use four years and works great (Future Upgrade)
• 40w Gamma UV
• 200 lbs established Marco Rocks
• 200 lbs (new) Marco Rocks course sand
• Plumbing is a combination of standard PVC, FlexPVC, and Black tubing
• DIY PVC Frag grow out rack

Planned future upgrades include:
• Calcium Reactor (GEO 612?)
• Upgrade to individual media reactors
• Add MRC Waste Collector
• Add automatic water change system
• Change ATO from a tank sitting next to the cabinet to Apex controlled ATO feeding directly from saltwater mixing station.

Livestock on hand:
• 4 or 5 GTBA (getting rid of all but one)
• Engineer Gobie (Adult, one year old, 9" or 10") Will look for a new home when I take down the 90.
• Flame Angle
• Powder Brown Tang
• Flame Angle
• Mated pair of Ocellaris Clowns
• Citrinis Clown Goby
• Six Line Wrasse
• Royal Gamma
• Assorted softies, LPS, and SPS

Before the build could begin I had to (1) find a new job (2) heal from the heart attack (3) replace the floor in the office while the 90 gallon tank is still in place.

Awesome build! Glad your doing better after the heart attack.

Ehh, where is the actuator?? And what's the function of it ? :)
Glad you have recuperated from health issues and having great time with you family as the pic shows it!
I like the Tom in line flow meter I did the same for my uv light before, gives you good reading for such an important equipment!

The actuator is under my desk (not in the picture) but will end up in the canopy. Hopefully it will raise and lower the canopy.

I knew that because you are an old fart like me and we learn to do things the easy way. :)

Shoes are not the problem for me. It is getting my shirts to still fit that is my problem. ;)
