Emerald Crab the death bringer?

My nano has been running for @4 months with no problems or anything, then last week I get mister green, and I have lost 2 peppermint shrimp since his arival. Could he be killing them or do the they have a short life span or what?

I had 3 peppermint shrimp, a chromis, 3 snails and an emerald crab.
Both times I had a loss i checked water condictions and everything was great. Any ideas?

While no crabs are to ever be completely trusted emeralds are usually pretty laid back but all crabs are opportunistic.

Sometimes I don't see my peppermint shrimps for weeks they can be pretty reclusive.

Well I know these 2 are dead cause I removed their bodies over the last week, and it was not a molten.
