If u have fish catching down lmk ill give u some money or corals to come get this butterfly fish out of my tank ASAP.

Try this, it takes a few days of feeding only in the container, but I have had 100% success with it. I hold the frozen cube in the container and let it un-thaw there so all the food stays in the container. The melanarus I had went into the container while I was un-thawing the food when I caught him a few months back.

google 2liter soda bottle fish trap.

I tried for months to catch a flame angel in my tank. 10 minutes with the bottle trap and I caught half my tank, including the flame.

All else fails, fondue fork & a rubber band = hawaiian sling ;-) (just kiddin)

I have always caught mine with turning off lights for in dark experience. Turning on quickly after the extended dark period....they all come stumbling out and you can catch quickly in the first couple minutes before they get awake.

Ill try all the above but the fish hasnt ate yet so the bottle trap wont work as of now. maybe can put the coral he likes in there.

i did just have an idea and took the top of a bottle and placed it onve the coral. poked holes in it for flow at least itll recorver. **** butterflys and reef safe with "caution"

Edit: pakistani. come get it. best deal of the year if you catch it.

This has worked for me many times in the past.

I moved an entire fish population from a 90 to my 210..it took a couple days but it works.

I can bring my fish trap over with me if you want...but it is going to require him to go after food.

Size of tank fish and rock work lay out eny cave the fish runs to
Try the bottle trap first if all else fails I may be able to come out sometime this weekend and spear him there is a risk of damage and loss of eye but I'm 10 to1 in fitting the fin not the flesh you have to pay gas if I catch him I git 15 to the gal lol

simple.

Take a piece of Lexan and put in the tank leave open on one end. Take your net and move in the tank behind the fish and coax him behind the Lexan. Then turn the Lexan to pin him in the corner. Then catch him with the net.

Not sure what lexan is? Fish are funny, he has only nipped at this one particular coral and it was an lps not zoa polyps or sps like every other site says. Anyway, i put a bottle top over the rock and now it can heal without nipping.

Not of me I learned how by watching vids of fish collecters using a needle thread and rubberband seams only time i have to do it its to move the six line back to the sump

the shock and awe worked. I turned on the blue led's about midnight and he was hovering and scooped him right up.
