Hello all,

My name is Ian, and I finally got around to joining up after dancing around it for the last few months. I am running (possibly straight into the ground) a 90 gallon mixed reef that I bought used from a pretty nice guy, which I believe used to be an ARC member from south Atlanta, back in August and it's been a pretty fun ride so far.

I'm still trying to figure things out, but so far I have successfully fought off a full-tank infestation of bryopsis, a shorted out return pump that dumped heavy metals into the tank, and am now doing battle with a nasty round of parasites... Why do I think this is fun again? In short, I wouldn't suggest trading frags with me.

Joking aside, I love the hobby and, even with the crash-course, trial-by-fire path I have been on, I am looking forward to experiencing more of what the hobby has to offer. My bank account, in the other hand, tells me I have made a terrible mistake... I usually just tell it to shut up.

Welcome Ian. Lots of people here that will be willing to help you sort things out.

LOL

Between this site and reef central, it has taught me a lot. I spent over a year of just reading and researching before I started my tank earlier this month. Welcome.

Also, one thing I learned is you can ask 1 question and you'll get 10 different answers. So, keep those advice in mind and do some more research and you'll find some common ground. That is what I have been doing.

Welcome! Would love to see some pics of your setup when you get around to it. I have a 90 as well and have done things differently since braking it down and rebuilding when I moved. Check out my build thread

Welcome aboard always nice to get a new member:up: I have a 90 also show us some pics when you get a chance. What kind of parasites are you having issues with? Maybe someone will give you a hand.
