C. pylei cebu

I've heard they can be a bit aggressive but they are beautiful fish. I've got one with a question mark on my stock list. Where'd you get it from?

It looks a little different than the other pylei I've seen and it seems a little smaller. I got it at Nemo fish. A steal at $35!! They had a couple more left.

Got the same answer on the "big board" saying it's the "Cebu" location pylei.

Nice! hopefully it'll work out for you. Which Nemo's?

They are often listed as "sunset fairy wrasse." I got one at Nemos a couple weeks ago, but it's still in QT. I had read that the Pyles fairy can be pretty aggressive towards other fairies, have you noticed any aggressive behavior?

I have one. It beats the crap out of all new comers alongside my powder brown. He doesnt do too much damage though.

Hey Matt yes it is Cirrhilabrus pylei. My supplier call it black margin fairy wrasse. He looks a lot happier in your tank then at the store. He looks really nice in your tank.

I have a Pylei and it is very aggressive toward other fairy wrasses. They have beautiful colors but I would not keep with smaller fairy wrasses. He always chases my Naoko's Shark Fin wrasse around my tank.

Ooh please post a video of the Naoko's fairy wrasse. I have coveted them for a while now, would love to see if they are as pretty as the pics online.

Mine's with a filament fin flasher and so far, no aggression at all.

Thats a nice looking wrasse and even nicer with that price tag. I love the fins. I have been a fan of wrasse heavy tanks ever since I saw atlfishes display. They give you lots of color and action and some interesting socialization. I'm currently keeping a solarensis (med-large), melanarus (med-large), and a small mystery. You think a pylei would work with them?

I just modded my LEDs and the wrasses are fluorescing like never before. The mystery is literally glowing.
