I know this is a topic that is periodically discussed but Im looking for someone with personal experience with multiple false percs.

Tons of conflicting info out there from you can only have a mated pair to "you can keep a tank full without a problem".

If there is anyone who has experience putting multiple false percs in a tank (mine is 55) please let me know what your results were. Did they stake out their own territory, play nicely or try to kill each other.

Thanks

In a 55 I'd recommend either just one, or just a pair.

I have a maintenance client with 3. The smallest one gets chased constantly and we frequently have to fish him out of the overflow. We've spoken to the client about this but they are content with the status quo. The tank is a 120.

I had another client put 8 of them in his 225 (!!!!) He already had a pair of large tomato clowns. That didn't end well either. Apparently a new Petco had opened near his home and he took advantage of a sale. They were all gone before I serviced the tank next, I never saw them to begin with. That was some years ago - he bought them without my knowledge or advice. I wouldn't have known about them at all except his wife busted him by asking me if any had survived. :(

I had 4 together and they did fine. It was a 30. Hoang had 6 of them and they all made there own little spots and lived happy.

Ive always heard that the rule with yellow tangs is single or 4+. I wonder if it is similar with false percs?
