So my teen will eventually be posting his build thread here, but we are working on aquascape now.

I always feel like the #1 "mistake" is putting too much rock in. So wanted to get everyone's thoughts/pics/ideas.

We have a mix of "Real Reef" rock and tonga looking stuff that is nice and all black, so makes coral pop even more than real rock.

https://www.saltwateraquarium.com/real-reef-tonga-branch-blackout-rock-30-lb-box-real-reef/ is the tonga like
https://www.saltwateraquarium.com/real-reef-blackout-rock-55-lb-box-mixed-size-real-reef/ is the regular

I will be seeding it with a piece or 2 of my own real rock from sump, etc.

******* What cool aquascapes have you seen for a 120g size and/or with reg looking rock and tonga branch style?

It really depends on you plans. If you are sps Then lots of tonga and area to grow up into. If not I like to stack like stairs with lots of shelves and space for LPS to spread out. also life rock can just be thrown in with out any thought and it looks good lol. But in general less is more. I would just recommend you go in with a plan for the type of corals you plan to keep and a general style you like
