This guy came in as a hitchhiker from Tamp Bay Saltwater about 20 months ago. He now has a 120 Gallon tank all to himself.

Toadfish are so cool. I wish I could keep a species tank just for one. Glad he's doing so well for you!

Leo, that fish is quite a find for a hitchhiker. Pretty cool that you're able to house it and it looks pretty close to full grown. Has it started making any noises? Like this...

I have not noticed any noises yet.

He has started changing a little in just the past few weeks - lately, if he sees any motion in the room he will come about half way out of his current hiding spot and sit up on his fins. This is brand new behavior that he just recently started doing.

I'm assuming he may have reached fish puberty or something which has turned up his aggression.

I haven't been bitten yet but based on his activity here lately I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before he gets me.

Only males make the noise. The mating season is April thru Oct. Don't know if males make the noise in captivity or not.
