I am looking to you all once again for your knowledge and expertise! :) In our tank, we have 2 oc clownfish, a blue regal, and a black (well yellow actually) sailfin blenny in addition to our clean up crew and tiger tail cucumber. We are feeding green algea strips daily but are wondering how often to feed pellets and frozen mysis shrimp. Our regal is rather picky and just spits out the pellets and our clowns seem to prefer the pellets. The blenny has only been in the takn for a day and isnt interested in the foods, but has been nipping at the algea on the rocks. My question is, how often should we feed the pellets and the shrimp. We have been doing both daily but we are scared of over feeding our fishy kiddos. Your thoughts?:)

If it were me, I'd mix the pellets with the shrimp in a bowl or container and feed that way daily. This does two things, you feed all the tank's fishes and you get the tank to eat a little bit of the pellets as they taste like shrimp. I over feed... a lot, and have been for a year, only side effect is a little algae here and there but i can live with that. plus i have fat and happy fish and thats all i am concerned about

I feed pellets everday once a day then every other day or 2 I mix in some frozen food. All inhabitants are happy and not a prob with algae. I have a yellow tang a coral beauty and a blue green chromis. Also I have a cleaner skrimp, blood red skrimp, emerald crab a few blue leg hermits and like a millon baby snails o yeah and my favs pair of yellow watchmen goibies. I posted a question a while back about one of my watchmens turning white. Apparently its a watchwoman gobie, shes looking beautifull shes got a few dark stripes and some awesome blue on her fins. I think its mating time. The reason i do it this way was to try to get them all to eat the pellets it worked. I like watching the skrimps come out and grab the pellets.
