What variety of tools does everyone use to feed their corals, anemones and fish?

Any opinions on Julian's Thing?

I saw this featured on Mr.Saltwater TV before and it looks pretty interesting, but I have not seen any reviews on it yet. The concept is great because you can control the amount of food you feed with the plunger and you can cut the tip for any size food you are feeding and you can buy replacements ones.

The running joke at the last trade show was, I got to hold Julian's thing. Brian wasn't impressed. (That was *their* sales pitch, BTW)

It's interesting but I think it's a bit cumbersome. (I can hear the innuendos now...)

I think that thing is like reinventing the wheel, I mean baster........

The thing Jenn sells at her shop is reasonably priced and prefect for feeding and other tank choirs...

What is that thing called Jenn?

It's made by H2O Life and it's just called "Coral Feeder". Comes in a fine and medium. Tube is the same size, just the opening is a big bigger on the medium. There's an extension tube available for it too, but it's just a narrower version of a baster.

Kent Marine makes the "Sea Squirt" but it's very expensive - particularly for what it is - another glorified baster.

I used the Sea Squirt before, very long and cumbersome..,. I actually squirted water on a 250watt NH bulb with one of those (bulb exploded) trying to angle it the right direction, which obviously, I didn't.

The Coral Feeder Jenn Sells has replaced my baster.... Can't say enough good things about it....

I've used quite a few things to feed corals and fish. I have learned the more simple the better. For target feeding krill/silversides to anemones I use chopsticks. If its chopped up or frozen I use a Turkey baster or pipette from test kit. Or even plastic tongs work great from kitchen /appliance area in wallyworld

I'm simple... turkey baster VERY rarely (I don't spot-feed corals), bamboo skewers (about $1/100, I toss them after use) to stir up frozen as I thaw it (done in Walmart plastic "bathroom cups") and on the also-rare occasion that I'll feed an anemone... stick a silverside on the skewer and the 'nem will take it off.

Maybe if I used a gadget made for it I'd fall in love with it, but the truth is I would hardly ever use it.
