With the state of my Toadstool in my DT im considering buying a small starter reef (http://www.reef-aquarium.co.uk/starter-breeder-fish-tanks.html">http://www.reef-aquarium.co.uk/starter-breeder-fish-tanks.html</a>) to place him in to help him recover.

The internal filter is effectively a mini sump in the lid of the aquarium but this method offers no flow. So id move a 1000lph from my tank to add flow.

Main questions are is it possible to have a toadstool in a tank this small. Ive looked at a few of the threads on here an havent noticed any in anyone elses.

What would be the best way to maintain it. Clean up crew? or just water change.

Basically what im asking is from someone who has experience with nano tanks to say how they would do it so i can pretty much just copy that and not mess anything up.

I had a toadstool that was about 5-6" in diameter and i kept it in a similar size tank( i think it was about 8 gallons). It was one of the only things in there and it did fine. It will of course out grow that set-up but it should be fine for awhile. Just keep up with water changes and you should be fine. Maybe throw in shome snails and a hermit or two. You could even put in a shrimp/goby combo to give the tank some life. i changed water about once a week and did a gallon and everything was very happy.
