File Fish

If I put a file fish in my tank to eat aiptasia will it also eat my corals?

Maybe, maybe not. It depends on the individual. Mine seems fine with SPS, LPS and zoas, but ate a kenya tree frag I added. Unfortunately it doesn't eat xenia. Totally controls aiptasia though. I had some early on, but I haven't seen any in years.

Thanks! I do not have a ton of corals in this particular tank but I was curious.

"ton of corals" is a good thing, they will grow faster than the file fish will nip. I think eradicating aiptasia is a small price to pay for some nipping.

well i think they might nip ive had 3 in past and never did. But if they get your aptasia gone they are easy to remove. but i would get like 4 or 5 peppermint shrimps 1st 3 of they might not eat but 1 will
