Filling the tank question

Seems like a simple step, but I'm actually not sure how I'm going to fill my tank. With the tank and the sump, I need about 75 gallons on water. I have an RO system that will hook to my outside water source.

Will an RO system push the water ~50 feet if I have that much 1/4 tubing or am I going to have to fill a brute trash can and then pump the water into the tank?

I would fill the trash can then mix and transfer to the tank. RO can be slow and you will need to be around so it doesn't overflow the tank

a 75gpd or a 100gpd ro unit will still be 24hrs for you to get 75g of water so i would go for the brute and its best to mix the water in the trash can cause it would dissolve faster than in the tank.
in the tank sand would get blown around and your rocks would be in the way for good water flow from your power heads, you won't have that problem in the trash can.
