Some say garden hose, others use the sprayer in the sink. I throw mine in with a few old white t-shirts and a cap of bleach, then use a double rinse cycle, and finally let air-dry.
Yup. I just thrown em in the washer with a cap of bleach and an extra rinse cycle. I have 8 or so but wish I had more. Changing these every day I would like about 14 to go every two weeks without having to run em through the wash.
the tank won't freak out if you run without one all day or overnight.
I have a few sets, just pitch em in the washer and drier. extra rinse and a fresh rinse prior to installing back in the sump.
For grins sometimes I pull em totally out for a few days to let things flush out of the bottom of the sock chamber and into the 'fuge.
