well yea i know that. i now know ive been spelling ricordia wrong as well. but what i mean is like with zoas there is so many variations people nickname the different variations. i noticed there are different types of ricordia as well and was wondering if people name the variations?

You have seen people/collectors name Ricordea like they name zoas?!? This is new to me. Looking on every site on the internet, I do not see anyone "naming" Ricordea other than describing the color. (and no, stating that they are yuma or flordia does not count, the OP was asking for names like people name zoas) Please do share the names of some of these Ricordea. When you find the name, maybe you should share it with Liveaquaria, Saltwaterfish, Spikes Corals, Bluezoo, and Extreme Corals since they might be interested in knowing the collector given name. (Extreme might also want to be schooled by the spelling police too since they have it as Ricordia too)

Only reason I mentioned anything about the spelling is because the OP thought because you posted Ricordia that the spelling was wrong. I was informing the OP that the spelling was in fact correct. And yes you are right that there aren't and "designer" names for Ricordea. I was referring to types like Yuma and Florida and colors as you mention. And if a store is spelling it wrong then yes they should be educated on the correct spelling. Especially if they are a retailer or online store.

In my experience with these shrooms... they opened up bigger in less lighting for me.
