New nikon d 40x. I used a 2.5 gall aquarium to shot pictures threw.

What was the 2.5 for? Did you put it in the tank so you could get 'underwater' with your camera?

yes thats what i did. I needed a top down box but did no want to build one.
Its def not ideal but it worked.

I hope i can make it work better next time. I may try to rig it to the camera.

As for protection i have thought about hooking up one of those car alarms that says you are standing to close to my tank please back off NOW! It would work great for parties.
