Picked up a small mystery wrasse for a great deal and took a chance adding it to my tank. I feared one of my other wrasse's might be aggressive, but after a few passes all was good. However, my female Picasso clown, who has NEVER shown any aggression, is pestering the mystery now. She'll actually leave the nem just to swim over and dive-bomb the wrasse.

Any advice here? Lights went out as soon as I saw the aggression and will stay off tonight while I try to figure out a solution. The mystery is extremely passive and I can dip it out no problem.....but dang, I really want it:sad: Maybe give it some time???

try printing a whole load of pictures of similar clowns and mystery wrasses. place them all over the tank. leave them on for several days and gradually remove one by one over a long period. i have done this many times and it seems to work well.

keep your lights low as well.

Decided to not chance it so I pulled the mystery and put it in a large QT I still have setup. Put the pictures on the glass to see what the clown does.

Smart move!

I've had to put my clown in "timeout" due to aggression issues by simply drilling several holes into a Tupperware container and letting him chill in it for a couple of days. The container I used floated so I could easily get to it when needed.

Haha, I've seen stores trying to get clowns hosting by doing this with an anemone and a clown.
